Investment opportunities

NEW: 27 March 2012 - THE CATALOGUE OF INVESTMENT PROJECTS

In compliance with the scope of work of the Government of the Republic of Croatia the investment promotion is one of the priority measures targeting more intensive development of the Croatian economy, namely the tourism sector, as well as the reinforcement of the overall competitiveness of our country. Therefore, the Ministry of Tourism has undertaken a number of measures in order to facilitate and simplify investment opportunities in the Croatian tourism for potential investors which shall consequently reinforce the sectorial competitiveness.

Thus, the Ministry of Tourism has created the Catalogue of Investment Projects in order to provide the potential investors with the information on the investment opportunities in the Croatian tourism sector. Although the Catalogue primarily identifies and presents public projects for which the Republic of Croatia seeks investors, it also contains information about more significant private projects in the tourism field as requested by the private sector searching for investors. The Catalogue consists of four parts.

In the first part the information on the tourism companies majority-owned by the state and eligible for privatisation is available.

The privatisation is conducted pursuant to the Government Asset Management Act (Official Gazette, No. 145/10) and the implementing regulations enacted by this Act. The procedures are implemented by the Government Asset Management Agency (AUDIO).

The Ministry of Tourism monitors and participates in the privatisation process of the State Tourism Portfolio.

The second part of the Catalogue refers to the specific limited liability companies which have been established to prepare and develop the projects on the particular locations (Brijuni Rivijera and the Prevlaka Park); to manage the former military immobile properties until their privatisation; and to settle the ownership issues relating to the relevant lands and facilities (Club Adriatic).

The third part of the Catalogue consists of the other relevant projects located on land parcels which majority-owned by the state. The fourth part comprises private projects in the tourism sector.

The Catalogue shall be modified and amended as required. The detailed information on each company or project is listed hereafter. The link to download the Catalogue is also available hereafter.

The Ministry of Tourism hereby invites the interested investors to contact the Ministry or the Government Asset Management Agency for all additional information. The contact details are listed in the Catalogue.
