Dubrovnik 4th most desirable destination for autumn holidays -- The Guardian
Dubrovnik finished as the fourth best destination for autumn sunshine holidays according to The Guardian, the local tourist board reported on Tuesday.
The list is topped by Sardinia, Andalusia and Cyprus.
Nicola Iseard, the author of the article in the Internet edition of the British newspaper writes that while this most famous Croatian seaside resort is extremely busy in the summer months, when "accommodation is hard to find and endless cruise ships dock in its port", it is the autumn which "brings out the best of Dubrovnik".
"It takes on a tranquil, laidback atmosphere, the weather is less humid, the sea is still warm enough for swimming and accommodation and ferries prices drop considerably," she writes.
In this list, Dubrovnik is followed by Dahab, Turkey.
Lanzarote, Canary Islands, is sixth-ranked.
Kas in Turkey, Saint-Tropez in France, Rhodes in Greece and Ile de Re in France are the seventh, eighth, ninth and tenth respectively. (Hina)
