British tour operators plan to bring more tourists to Croatia

LONDON, 10.11.2009.
British tour operators are ready to continue their partnership with Croatia's public and private tourist sector and plan to bring more British tourists to Croatia next year, they said at a meeting with Croatian Tourism Minister Damir Bajs and a dozen Croatian hotel owners and travel agents, held at the World Trade Market in London on Tuesday.

The meeting focused on new and improved models of advertising designed by the Croatian Tourism Ministry and the National Tourism Board to attract more tourists to Croatia.

British travel agents were interested in the situation surrounding the airport of the northern Adriatic city of Pula following reports that it might lose international status because of the Schengen regime, which they said would be bad for them.

Bajs said that the matter was being considered by the government, expressing hope that a favourable solution would be found. (Hina)
