Bids invited for Czech Villa project on Vis island

ZAGREB, 17.7.2017.

The Croatian State Property Management Ministry on Monday invited bids for the implementation of the Czech Villa tourism project on the island of Vis. The deadline for submission of bids is 16 October and the project is to be completed by the end of 2020.

The government okayed the launch of the tender process in mid-June when State Property Management Minister Goran Maric said that Croatia could expect an estimated 84 million kuna in revenues from the project.

The minister said then that the project provided for the reconstruction and upgrade of the Czech Villa into a hotel of at least 4 stars. The project will include the reconstruction of nearby buildings and construction of new accommodation and hospitality facilities.

The selected investor will be allowed to build on the land for 50 years.

The Czech Villa complex measures 3.7 hectares in area and the concession also covers the pertaining coastal and sea area, measuring 9,703 square metres. The opening of bids is scheduled for 23 October. (Hina)
