Olympia Sky hotel in Vodice worth over EUR 23 mln opened

ZAGREB, 8.7.2017.

Hotel Olympia Sky, one of the biggest tourism investments in Croatia worth a total of HRK 172 million (approx. EUR 23.3 million), was opened in the central Adriatic resort of Vodice on Friday evening.

The opening ceremony was attended by Parliament Speaker Gordan Jadrokovic, Tourism Minister Gari Cappelli and special envoy of the Croatian President Tomislav Madjar, as well as numerous political and public figures.

Tourism Minister Cappelli said this was one of the 40 hotels that will be opened this year, worth a total of HRK 800 million (approx. EUR 108.2 million). This is a sign that we know how to recognise what we need, Cappelli said, adding that this year Croatia expect to increase its tourism revenues by 10%.

Olympia Sky has 149 accommodation units, including 19 suites. A swimming pools with an amazing view is located on the ninth floor of the hotel.

The interior design was inspired by cruise ships. (Hina/FaH)
