Minister Cappelli on inaugural Emirates Dubai-Zagreb flight June 1

ZAGREB, 30.5.2017.

Emirate Airlines, one of the largest in the world, will fly to Croatia for the first time on June 1 and Tourism Minister Gari Cappelli on Tuesday flew out to Dubai from where he will fly back on the airline's inaugural flight to Zagreb, launching the start of daily Dubai-Zagreb flights.

During his stay in the United Arab Emirates, Cappelli will meet with the airline's CEO Tim Clark. Cappelli also plans to meet with CIGNA executive director Jai Vermon. CIGNA is one of the largest health insurance corporations in the world and Cappelli hopes to discuss possible cooperation in health tourism in Croatia, the Tourism Ministry said in a press release.

Emirate Airlines has said that the company recently refurbished its office in Zagreb's Westin Hotel and that the office employs local personnel and added that almost 250 Croatians work in the airline as cabin crew and pilots. (Hina)
