First competition licensed golf course opens in Zaton

ZAGREB, 17.7.2015.

The Zaton Adventure Golf Park with a new beach and service facilities at the Zaton Holiday Resort near the central coastal town of Zadar was opened on Friday with Tourism Minister Darko Lorencin attending the ceremony in the resort owned by the Turisthotel company from Zadar.

The new facilities will expand the resort's offer and services and improve their quality which has already been recognised by tourists from around the world and European tourism associations, which have assessed the resort as one of the best in Croatia.

Along with Lorencin, also attending the opening ceremony were the president of the European Minigolf Sport Federation, Victor Condeca, the president of the World Minigolf Sport Federation, Gerhard Zimmermann, City Golf Europe Director Peter Hofmann and the president of the Croatian Minigolf Sport Federation, Mislav Bjazic, and other guests.

Turishotel director Frane Skoblar underscored that the Zaton Holiday Resort was constantly working on improving its services in an effort to offer guests the best possible vacation.

With its size, equipment, functionality and modern design, the new service block at the resort sets high standards for the Croatian and European camping scenes, and the new Adventure Golf Park offers excellent entertainment for the entire family who can wander through the park of miniature replicas of Croatian cultural-historical monuments, the tourism ministry has said.

The Zaton Adventure Golf Park is the first competition golf course in Croatia with an official licence.
