Croatia recommended as top incentive travel destination

ZAGREB, 27.7.2014.

SITE, the world's leading association that promotes incentive business travel, has recommended Croatia as a top destination for such travel because of its scenery, historical heritage and infrastructure.

The recommendation was made by SITE president Paul Miller at a recent World Meeting Forum in Mexico, where he outlined main trends in that segment of business travel and the best incentive destinations in the world, according to the Croatian business tourism website PoslovniTurizam.

Apart from Croatia, the SITE top list of new and interesting incentive destinations includes Panama, Vietnam, Hungary, Guatemala, India, Peru, Brazil, Iceland and the Dominican Republic.

Travel incentives are awarded by companies to their staff for a job well done and are also used by companies to promote their business by offering trips for free or at a discount to loyal customers and partners. Unlike other areas of business tourism, incentive programmes primarily offer entertainment and recreation, representing one of the fastest growing segments of business tourism.

SITE, or the Society of Incentive and Travel Executives, was established in 1973 and is based in Chicago. It has about 2,000 members in 90 countries.
